Program Description
Students experience Flamenco dance first hand in this exciting workshop that including playing castanets, footwork, palmas (rhythmic hand clapping), braceo (arm and hand movements) and choreography/steps for Flamenco to grammey winner and young flamenco sensation, Rosalia. Artist links the dance form's techniques to the various cultures that produced the dance and music as well as the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures. Students can then use choreography for school programs or concerts. Class length can be tailored to fit need.
