Creatures of the Night! (at Refuge or in Class)

Live nocturnal animals are brought into your classroom for students to meet and learn about, including an owl, snake, insects, plus a taxidermy bat (& more!). Students learn the physical adaptations that each nocturnal animal has, as well as their diets and habitats. Discussion includes native Long Island nocturnal wildlife.
