Explore the important role carriages and wagons played in the lives of Long Islanders during the 19th-century. We'll explore the technology (and horses!) that enabled the wagons to move, the aesthetics that made many of the carriages like moving works of art, and their important functions. Students will have the chance to climb aboard an historic streetcar. Program length: 2 hours 15 mins.
