Program Description
The author/illustrator of 15 books including the award winning, ALLY-SAURUS AND THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, Mr. Torrey is highly acclaimed for his educational, inspirational, and entertaining presentations to groups of any size and all ages. Drawing on his years of experience as a children’s author/illustrator, Richard will describe the process of creating books for children, from generating ideas to finished product. He stresses the importance of creativity in all professions and in every day life. The author draws for and with the students (depending on group size). Includes colorful PowerPoint presentation and brief discussion of author's other work as internationally syndicated cartoonist, editorial cartoonist, creator of greeting card line, Q&A.
