assemblies are 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes long and include: - Opening with SEL and growth mindset songs - A reading of the book - A time for a Q&A with students - An in-depth and detailed look at the behind-the-scenes process of what it takes make books Students will leave knowing: - what my writing process looks like, see my characters being illustrated, my books being printed, etc. - they will learn who is involved in the teamwork it takes to create my books (author, editor, illustrator, publisher, printer, shipper, distributor, librarians, etc.). As a speech pathologist, it is important that my content is written and shared through the lens of an early intervention specialist, hence you will find that the material and events are enriching for language, critical and analytical thinking, problem-solving, and social-emotional learning.
