Program Description
I'll travel to your school to preform this intensive day long workshop. Join us for an immersive workshop that delves into the realm of nostalgia, where participants will have the opportunity to create unique and evocative objects that hold personal significance. "The Nostalgia of Objects" is a conceptually-driven artistic experience that aims to capture the essence of cherished memories and transform them into tangible works of art. This workshop offers a safe and supportive environment for participants to explore their creativity and delve into the depths of their personal histories. Participants will learn various ceramic techniques, including hand-building, sculpting, and glazing. They will be introduced to the fundamentals of working with clay, exploring its malleability and the transformative power it holds. Through demonstrations and one-on-one guidance, participants will gain the skills necessary to bring their nostalgic visions to life. The workshop will incorporate discussions on the significance of nostalgia and it's ability to evoke emotions and connect people across time and space. Participants will have the opportunity to share their personal stories and engage in meaningful conversations about the power of memory and the role it plays in shaping our identities. By the end of the workshop, participants will have created their own ceramic sculptures, each a unique embodiment of their personal nostalgia. These tangible objects will serve as a lasting reminder of the memories and emotions that have shaped their lives, capturing a moment in time and preserving it in a meaningful form. Clay can be provided for an additional $150 for 200lbs of clay
