Program Description
A mandala is an artistic “circle” which represents the universe through images of land, air, water and all living creatures. Ms. Tollen will give a brief photo history of the mandala. Students will be provided with paper worksheets to design their own creation. Each student will have an opportunity to work hands-on with the artist to help create a mosaic mandala for the school wall. All materials are provided by the artist. Please refer to Ms. Tollen’s prior mosaic and tile wall murals seen throughout Nassau and Suffolk County for examples of work.
