Program Description
Black to Gold is a New York based a cappella performance group who has placed in international and local competitions, as well as released EPs and albums over the past three years. When visiting schools, we bring exciting and contemporary performances to encourage the students to explore music in different ways and different forms, both through our unique arrangements and performances as a group, as well as our individual styles as professional musicians. We will then also run masterclasses and workshops for students interested in music to help further enhance their passion and empower them to create music in an ensemble setting, learn the strength of being part of a team that is bigger than you, and encourage their individual musical styles. We bring them in and engage through a combination of demonstration and hands on work with the students, showing them how constructive feedback can be used in performing arts to learn and grow.
