Program Description
Description: Jeannie Dunkel, BA Dance, MS. Ed, provides choreography for school musicals and dance concerts. A graduate of Hofstra University, Ms. Dunkel has been teaching for over 25 years. She has worked with recreational and competitive level students ages 2 - 18 in various dance studios on Long Island. In addition to teaching dance classes, Ms. Dunkel provides private dance instruction and coaching to Equity and SAG-AFTRA eligible child performers in the theater/TV/film industry. She also provides audition prep and creates and choreographs audition material for potential jobs/roles. Ms. Dunkel assists aspiring actors in learning specific dance styles and/or enhance and broaden their dance abilities. Her student base includes young performers currently working on Broadway and in Television. Ms. Dunkel’s choreography has won numerous entertainment awards and was the recipient of the Choreographer of the Year Award at Kids Artistic Revue’s National Dance Competition. Her work has also been nominated for an Industry Dance Award. Choreography will be created based on students’ levels of ability.
