Program Description
Instructor: David O. Miller (davidomiller.com). This virtual, training workshop can be tailor-made to meet the needs of your schools Media Arts department, building upon their current level of knowledge of either Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. This can include introduction level instruction, all the way up to more comprehensive, advanced techniques. During my training workshops I discuss many of my innovative techniques and strategies that I have developed to teach these applications to students. My intent is to help educators pass on diverse, non-gender specific life skills such as problem solving, perseverance, initiative, creativity, and responsibility, as well as build both creative thinking and computer skills that will introduce and prepare students for possible careers in the video game, film, graphic design and illustration fields. Using my enthusiastic personality I always strive to make my lesson delivery meaningful, exciting and inspiring. Workshop will be held virtually using Google Meet, WebEx, Zoom, or any other online meeting software your district utilizes. (About the instructor: David has over 35 years of experience working professionally with these applications, as well as over 25 years of experience teaching them. He is a former artist for both “Dungeons and Dragons” and U.S. Space Camp, as well as a huge “Geek” when it pertains to Pop Culture. Currently David is an independent contractor that makes his living as a digital illustrator, graphic designer and educator.) (STEM, CTE, and ICT integration)
