Program Description
Explore the exhibitions with a Museum Educator as they lead engaging conversations. Group Discussions challenge students, to think critically and look carefully, developing their visual literacy skills and encouraging them to express their unique points of view. Participating in Long Island’s Best and looking to explore the Museum and help your students to generate ideas? This program includes an in-person tour of the Museum’s current exhibitions and access to a video overview of Long Island’s Best – how to get inspired, submit artwork, and more – to watch and share with your students! Each program earns your school 4 additional entries into Long Island’s Best. Scheduling: Wednesdays- Fridays. To Register for LI Best go to heckscher.org/libestregister by November 20. There is a $75 non-refundable registration fee. NEW: Enhance your visit with an Outdoor Soundwalk in Heckscher Park! Check our website for details! Outdoor tables now available for your students to have lunch (weather permitting)
