Program Description
Participants, guided by award winning storyteller and author, Heather Forest, explore the art of retelling traditional multicultural folktales and investigate the voice, body and imagination as creative instruments of storytelling. Utilizing playful, improvisational theater activities, participants learn how to recall simple folktale plots, devise story composition, use the power of metaphor to make a point, create dramatic narrator/character relationships and to comfortably liberate spontaneous speech.
