Program Description
Schools Partnering with the Art (SPA) provides opportunities for school districts and professional organizations to participate in district-supported professional development with in-service CTLE credit. Programs in the arts can help teachers to renew, recharge, and replenish their artistic teaching talents by providing specialized instruction time with master artists and certified art educators. Professional development workshops can include a variety of media, including painting and drawing, ceramics, printmaking, jewelry making, sculpture, fiber arts, specialty ceramics firings, and more. In addition to designated teacher development days, districts will have the opportunity to schedule professional development workshops customized to their individual needs and interests. 3-hour workshops are priced at $90/registrant, with workshop minimum attendees varying by media.
