Program Description
Pilamaya Ye’ (thank you in Lakota) is a culturally responsive program of music and legends celebrating native American philosophy toward the earth and its community. Lou brings children onstage to perform Native American stories and songs about the things we have been given, for “the earth doesn't belong to us, we belong to the earth.” Students will leave Pilamaya Ye’ inspired to follow the paths that the original people lived everyday. A character ed and environmental program filled with interaction, participation and reflection. Pilamaya Ye' creates a welcoming environment that celebrates the concepts of diversity, inclusion, and equity. Two distinct shows for K-3 and 3-6. Study guides available. VIRTUAL PROGRAM AVAILABLE!
