Program Description
This dynamic skill-building workshop demonstrates how to effectively and confidently deliver online in a range of venues. Topics covered include participating in Virtual classroom discussions as well as preparing and presenting for Science Forums, National History Day, and Poetry Out Loud, and Interviews. Communication in the online world requires more than just being seen and heard; it demands personal presence, advance content prep and sound bites that build reciprocity with viewers. The two-phase program begins with either a live stream or prerecorded workshop of targeted exercises that teach phrasing, pausing, vocal variety, content sequencing, body language, where to look, and how to allow listener absorption time. This is followed by breakout sessions in which participants try out the exercises, and closes with a Q&A that addresses by participants’ questions and gives next steps. Supportive, respectful tips that honor personal learning styles and temperaments encourage a safe, practical, and enjoyable learning environment.
