Program Description
Ken Maltz and Kenahora perform Klezmer music, a Yiddish tradition with origins in East European Jewish communities. Through teacher development workshops and activities, students explore the history and traditions of this traditional music form, based on background history and oral interviews with the musicians. Students will use active listening and critical thinking to interview band members about both the musical and cultural traditions of Klezmer. This is a virtual program.
