Program Description
Rahel Musleah is an Indian Jewish storyteller and singer. She explores the Jewish heritage of her native Calcutta, her family's immigration experiences, the traditions of Sephardic Jews and how they differ from Ashkenazi culture and how tradition continues to play an important part in her daily life. Through interviews, students learn to conduct oral histories and to examine the role tradition plays in other cultures. The program cultivates critical thinking and diversity and encourages students to frame their own questions. This is a virtual program.
