Program Description
SO Magic brings students together by increasing acceptance amongst peers and by fostering the development of social skills. This program was just featured at Citi Field in a Partnership with The New York Mets! Now you can bring SO Magic to your school! SO Magic (AKA Socialization Magic) is a fun and engaging magic workshop that fosters the growth of SOcialization skills such as collaboration, conversation, problem-solving, and more. All magic exercises are done in pairs under close supervision to ensure success and boost self-esteem. The workshops are led by award-winning children's entertainer, The Circus Guy. The Circus Guy has consulted with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who specializes in children’s behaviors, to craft inclusive workshops that allow students to develop and strengthen social skills while learning amazing magic tricks (such as Levitating Cups and Vanishing Coins) to show off to friends and family. Each student leaves with a trick to use outside of SO Magic to help them initiate and maintain interactions. The program which was created by an organization called SO Fun City (www.SOFunCity.com) has received praise in the greater NYC area and across Long Island.
