Program Description
In this workshop, we will examine lessons from positive psychology and wisdom traditions researched to help teachers and their students during the best of times and even more so during these challenging times. We examine music, lyrics, and art that can motivate, guide, and uplift both teachers and students in the arts and will connect the arts to proven methods that develop a more positive, grateful, and centered attitude that can help us navigate the new realities in arts education. Participants will receive suggestions for small, sustainable habits that will help students and teachers flourish. All participants will go home with engaging ideas, clearer goals, and practical exercises for using music, art, and positive psychology to improve their classrooms and outlook on life.
