Program Description
This program is a little different than the regular raku workshop because it is virtual. Students will learn how to create projects made out of clay during a virtual zoom workshop in their classroom with my instruction. Students will use a special Raku clay. When completed , the work should be fired at the school and then I drop off glazes for the students to apply at their school. Within one week of glazing their work, I will transport their work back to my studio and fire the work creating a video of the process so students can see how the pieces are fired and turn brilliant iridescent colors and some with crackle effects. All work will be returned to the school for students to wash off and take home. in the original's raku which is still available , students build the kiln at the school for a day and fire their work. If you cannot do that this year, this is a fantastic alternative.
