Program Description
In this virtual workshop, participants, guided by award winning storyteller Heather Forest, explore the art of retelling traditional multicultural folktales and investigate the voice, body and imagination as creative instruments of storytelling. Exploring the potential of the online zoom environment and utilizing playful, improvisational theater activities, participants learn how to recall simple folktale plots, devise story composition, use the power of metaphor to make a point, create dramatic narrator/character relationships and to comfortably liberate spontaneous speech.
