Program Description
Exciting, energetic possibilities unfold when combining poetry and dancing. Verbs and adverbs grow into similes that offer rich imagery for poetry writing and dance making. The Dance Teaching Artist leads students through dancing verbs, verbs with adverbs and similes for a warm up. She then offers physically engaging poems for the class to dance together. Finally, students are led to imagine several similes which are developed into quick danceable poems. The whole class is moving and smiling all of the time! For more information dafnadafi@gmail.com
