Program Description
American Footsteps offers a dazzling blend of Clogging, Tap, Square Dance and Irish Step Dance. Students learn the historical interconnection between American dance and their multicultural origins. Students sing, learn an African Hambone clapping rhythm and join the dancers on stage for a square dance. Ideal link to colonial history studies and social studies topics. Meets Common Core Standards in English Language Arts: Comprehension and Collaboration
