Program Description
45-60 minute Spanish/Bilingual literary presentation culminating with a writing prompt, exploring the concept of identity through literature. Students will be immersed in the Spanish language and Hispanic culture through the reading of excerpts from the International Latino Book Award winning title: “Huellas de una memoria perdida” original work authored by the presenter. Program is ideal for school clubs and after school activities, ENL, ELL, Spanish classes, ELA, and electives that address topics such as Social Justice, DEI, Immigration & cultural identity. Showcasing an Afro-Caribbean perspective, this program highlights the author’s identity, while inviting students to explore their own, it celebrates the pride of being bicultural and bilingual, promotes critical thinking, creativity, character building and cultural identity. Inclusive, empowering and culturally responsive. Copies of the poetry book “Huellas de una memoria perdida” available at a discounted rate with booking.
