Program Description
The Color Theory Painting Workshop introduces students to Primary and Secondary colors. Students are given fruit and asked to draw it on the canvas. Students then learn an Old Master's technique called Grisaille painting. Students paint a Value Scale. Next, students paint color over their underpaintings. The end result is a 10" x 10" painting on stretched canvas. The instructor provides one-on-one instruction to each student. Students work on table easels provided by the instructor. All materials are supplied by the instructor. The workshop includes a 3-month online exhibition of student work.
