Program Description
Popular author, master storyteller and musician Michael Caduto share stories from Central and South America that are windows into the fascinating indigenous peoples of these vast lands. These performances include traditional stories from the Aztec and Maya of Meso-America, as well as the Inca, Tehuelche, Apinaye and other cultures from South America. Using a wide range of entertaining voices and expressions, Caduto creates a host of humorous and dramatic animals and human characters. The audience is invited to accompany the songs, chants, native instruments and dance. Michael also presents original Earth music from his CD All One Earth: Songs for the Generations. During these presentations participants will be introduced to the traditional ways of these indigenous peoples and how stories reveal their relationships with Earth and other peoples.
