Program Description
Animal Rhythms is Treehouse Shakers’ beloved original performance based on West African folklore. Told through dance, theater and live music, Animal Rhythms has audiences explore rhythm as they interact with the performers through call and response, chants and body drumming. Animal Rhythms follows several animals as they learn about friendship, collaboration, and lessons of bullying. Students are exposed to folklore in a fun and dynamic setting, deepening empathy towards other cultures, exploring world geography, kinesthetic response, story-structure and performance vocabulary. Audiences are also introduced to drums in West African story culture. Great for Pre-K-5th Grade.
