Program Description
If requested, the Author can visit each school and classroom virtually this year through the schools preferred learning platform. “Power of Choice” helps its reader shift out of a difficult emotion and situation, and into a desired outcome or feeling. The main character uses her special “superpower,” her POWER OF CHOICE, to change how she is feeling. She gains control over her mind and emotions. Anyone can do it and she shows you how!! This form of children’s literature can help create a foundation in self-help skills for children at a young age. It creates opportunities for children to conquer everyday difficult moments and big transitions, both in and out of the classroom. Children then carry these tools with them throughout their life and into adulthood. During her visit, the Author will ask several open-ended questions to encourage student thinking and offer a responsive activity to display evidence of learning. For more information about the book, activities, small/large group presentations, please contact the author.
