A Diversity-Oriented Workshop to Celebrate Multi-culturalism through Textile Art Activities - Perfect for Culture Clubs, School-Wide Cultural Observances and the Holidays

This workshop affords students the opportunity to create textile art around the use of symbols they relate to. Students select provided cultural and religious holiday symbols that are meaningful to them, as an inspiration to create their own surface design on fabric after they have received instructions on the use of textile paints/dyes and the application of surface design techniques. This workshop can be tailored to the needs of teachers. A modified 45-minute Workshop session is also available.
