Program Description
Dear Art Teachers and Administrators, We are pleased to announce the 2025 edition of Nightmare on Main Street, our annual juried student art exhibition presented by the Huntington Arts Council. This year’s theme is: The Art of Fear and Storytelling Fear is a shapeshifter—emerging through nightmares, legends, and the mysteries of the unknown. From haunting images like Fuseli’s The Nightmare to timeless tales like Frankenstein, scary stories reflect the shadows within us. Students are invited to submit artwork in any medium that explores a personal or symbolic interpretation of fear. Please review the attached Prospectus carefully for full details. Important Dates: · Entry Deadline: September 16, 2025 · Exhibition Dates: October 21 – November 16, 2025 · Notification of Acceptance: September 26 · Artwork Delivery Deadline: October 10 · Opening Reception: October 24 · Artwork Pickup: November 18 New this year: All submissions must be completed online. We’ve updated the entry form to allow for submission even if payment is made through a Purchase Order or BOCES.
