Program Description
Trash Jam concludes our trilogy of instrument-building shows. The science goes molecular… and the music turns into a party! Each of our crazy instruments (made from recycled and repurposed materials) helps students discover the science of energy, sound waves and vibrations. We invite students - and teachers! - onstage to join our ensemble, sharing tried-and-true tips and tricks to create their very own trash bands with school-mates, friends and family! Bash the Trash programs meet the NYS CRS Framework by creating a welcoming space for all students to explore concepts of environmental justice and student-led responsive activism; as well as rigorous curricular and professional development for our presenters.
