Program Description
Students light up when learning comes alive, and that is exactly what happens when vertical gardens live in the classroom year-round. Instead of just reading about concepts, students experience them hands on by planting, tending, and harvesting food. They apply skills in science, math, ELA, health, culinary, and more, and because vertical gardens are so versatile they can be woven into any subject area. Taking up only 30 inches of space and easily mobile, the gardens fit in any classroom. Along the way, students develop teamwork, problem solving, and leadership skills. With optional programs like GrowPreneur, they can explore entrepreneurship and bring their learning to life through real-world business experiences. Plant Up provides training and resources so integration is simple and the impact is lasting, sparking curiosity, responsibility, and innovation at every grade level.
