This is sn introduction to the content, structure and relevance of the New York State Learning Standards for the Arts approved by the Board of Regents in July 2017. Discover when, why and by whom NCAS was developed, as well as the basic processes, anchor standards and other elements of its organization and content as they apply to dance, media arts, music, theater and visual arts. See how to access content online and how to customize it by its many features, including discipline and level. The session includes exercises in which all participants connect the new standards to their current instructional environment. This is the six hour PD organized by the NYS Education Department, and may be offered in one six hour session ($900), two three hour sessions ($400 each), or three two hour sessions ($300 each).
