Program Description
This program will provide an educational experience for orchestra and choir students using Improvisation and American Styles to help foster creativity and spontaneity, and to show students how to become the eyes and ears of their own educational experience. We show string students new practice ideas for better bow arm technique and intonation and choir students how to warm up more effectively, and how to own their own spotlight. We even explore music memorization freeing them from their music stands and the constraints of just interpreting music with their eyes. This 2-day program includes 9 total music arrangements, 5 hours of workshop time on Day 1, followed by 3 hours on Day 2 and an exciting concert.
