Live performance of rock and roll songs with computer projections on large screen. We explain the cultural changes in post-war America that gave birth to rock and roll music; how rock and roll developed from African and European sources (LS 4); how rock and roll gave teenagers of the 1950s and 1960s a distinctive mode of expression (LS 3). Group audience participation allow audience to respond to the music's energy (LS 1). Presents many concepts in Unit 11 of NYS Social Studies Core Curriculum
