Program Description
Squeaky Clean presents a history of the 1970s through a teenager who keeps a diary. Show combines live music (Santana, Bob Marley, ABBA and more) performance, still photos, video and sound We show how creative writing can provide insights into what it was like to live during a historical period. We show how 1970s music reflected outrageous sensibilities of the era. We illustrate new technology introduced in the 1970s, such as the VCR and primitive video games like "Pong." This program presents many concepts included in Unit 11 of the NYS Social Studies Core Curriculum.
