Program Description
Have students look at the formation of Long Island and our unique barrier beaches. From our prehistoric formation to present-day forces that constantly shape out environment, students explore what makes our island so dynamic! Students create a 3D map of Long Island for their classroom, learn about sand migration, dune ecology, wave power and human impact on our beaches.
