Program Description
Go on an expedition through the magical world of ancient Egyptian art during interactive art show assemblies for young viewers. Discover the stories behind amazing mummies, sphinxes, pharaohs and more as you uncover art treasures in Egyptian tombs. Then create Egyptian inspired clay animals and figures adorned with jewels and other decorations. Cultural responsiveness: Inviting 100% participation, we prompt students to look, question and share ideas. Our approach teaches students how to express personal opinions about what they see in diverse art and to respect the differing view points of their classmates. Fostering open ended thinking, we encourage debate and discussion through respectful speaking and listening to each other. Programs are geared to all ages and abilities. Other topics available; Pre-Columbian art, African Masks, Ancient Greece, Medieval Art. Supply fee.
