David A. Adler, author of 281 books including the Cam Jansen Mysteries, Danny's Doodles series, the Picture Book Biographies as well as numerous math books, picture book biographies and easy-read books, conducts presentations that follow a book from idea through the research, writing, rewriting, editing, galleys, illustration and printing steps. His book "Don't Throw It To Mo" was awarded the 2016 Dr. Seuss Medal by the Am. Library Assoc. David was awarded the 2017 Regina medal.
For most steps, there is a relevant demonstration. The demonstrations are age/grade level appropriate. Mr. Adler has been told many times that when the children return to their classrooms they want to write. He answers questions and signs books.
