Program Description
During interactive art shows, award-winning children's book author and artist Joyce Raimondo, shows students how her life developed as an artist from early childhood to adulthood. In her dramatic autobiographical artworks, Raimondo presents the story of her life and how art gave expression during difficult and joyful times. Raimondo exemplifies careers as an illustrator, book author, museum educator and fine artist. She shows students how to follow a passion and live their dreams. Cultural responsiveness: This program is designed to inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities to realize their dreams. Ms Raimondo, from a second generation immigrant family, achieved success through access to education. Her unwavering dedication to the art field was fostered by her teachers and parents, and Ms Raimondo has dedicated her life's work to giving back this gift to students.
