Program Description
This multisensory, interactive workshop allows participants to assist artist in identifying key events in black history and discussing the resulting feelings of despair and elation of ‘Black America Then and Now,' and the role of civic participation in defining these events. Participants design a Black History timeline mixed media collage into which visuals of prominent Black leaders, including Dr. Martin Luther King and President Barack Obama, are incorporated. Cost includes Artist's fee and materials. Inquire about cost quote for an audience size larger than the stated maximum.
