Program Description
A musical program interspersed with anecdotes and stories focusing on the people and technologies that have helped shape the oral tradition of American folk music. Material is drawn from the ballad collections of Francis Child, Cecil Sharp, John & Alan Lomax, as well as early archival and commercial recordings. Instruments demonstrated include guitar, banjo, harmonica, dulcimer, banjo ukulele and percussion. Entertaining and educational for audiences of all ages. Performed as a trio; fee can be adjusted for duo performance.
