Program Description
Chris Soentpiet's (SOON-peet) entertaining program gives the students an insight into the process of creating his award-winning picture books. Includes drawing demonstration and Q&A. His books offer opportunities to study multi-cultural and historical topics that tie-in with State social studies curriculum. Bringing my multi-cultural “Picturing the World” assembly program into the school system can help break the cycle of racism in the classrooms of today’s youth.” This is a Cultural Responsive - Sustaining Education program, covering diversity, equity and inclusivity (CR-SE)
