Students travel together in a canoe down a 5 mile river. Aside from utilizing canoeing, cooperation, communication skills learned in class, students are also learn about one of the area's most historical and ecologically diverse waterways- the Peconic River.
During the journey students sketch, photograph and write about the journey and all the beautiful surroundings. The best of their work can be seen in the school's paper, literary magazine, year book and web site.
