Program Description
Big Feelings Little Friends is an interactive arts-in-education performance designed for Pre-K through Grade 2 students. Through live music, movement, puppetry, and storytelling, students learn to identify emotions, practice age-appropriate coping skills, and build emotional awareness. Led by three therapist characters, students are invited to participate as “helper therapists” by singing, dancing, responding to prompts, and practicing simple strategies such as breathing, movement, and positive self-talk. The program is highly engaging and developmentally appropriate, with a clear structure that supports attention, regulation, and joyful participation. The program supports social-emotional learning, encourages self-expression, and reinforces skills students can continue to use in the classroom and at home.
