Program Description
In the proposed Zoom session, I will be discussing, and we will be creating art in my signature DNA Series in a paper collage format. I explore the power of shapes, color and movement to tell stories that transcend language. Each piece begins with instinct—organic and geometric forms that echo the doodles of my youth and the cultural vibrancy of my upbringing. These shapes are more than design; they are my artistic DNA, and the foundation for all art forms. I discuss art as it relates to everyday life. I also discuss my journey as an artist, and I show examples of early works, works in progress and discuss my DNA series art and how it developed. I also answer questions, and I take them on a tour of my home to see art in a living environment. The school also gets two original works of art, a doodle I create based on the school's logo, and the DNA series collage I create.
