Program Description
Join me, Meghan VK, to learn the basics of songwriting! We will discuss the difference between and purpose of verse/chorus/bridge, rhyme patterns/schemes, where to get ideas from, solo vs cowriting, and then analyze Frozen's "Let it go". At the end, kids will take a few minutes to solo or cowrite their own ideas. The amount of detail will be adjusted to the age range of the kids attending (I keep it basic for the younger ages and give more resources and detail for older kids). I am a professional musician by day, am endorsed by local radio stations and am signed to sync licensing agency Fine Gold Music (they place my music in TV/ads/movies etc).
