Program Description
This hands on workshop will teach young artists the basics of working with clay. Pinch, coil and slabs of clay will be demonstrated. Each student will create a piece using these methods such as monster coil pot sculptures, mini teapots, covered bird houses or covered containers. in addition, a mobile potters wheel will be set up and demonstrations will be introduced while discussing the history of ceramics.
