Program Description
Participants work cooperatively on a permanent installation/ Legacy Project using clay, paint, recycled materials and more, or create individual artwork. Students can leave their "mark" on the school with Ceramic "SOLE Mates" murals and displays; hand build ceramic "TEX-tiles" for mosaics, mobiles, borders, pendants or decor; "SEE GREEN" with faux stained-glass displays, or mobiles, designed from up-cycled plastic lenses. Individual take-home projects include wearable, functional, or decorative ceramic art, Paint Day canvas works, and much more! Legacy Projects can be customized to support and enhance curriculum- including books, the Arts, the study of individual artists, as well as educational, social, or geographical themes. Respect, cooperation and giving back to the school/community are integral parts of these workshops.
