Participants will explore the process of creating a collaborative, ceramic mural for a
Legacy project/permanent installation using clay, glaze, and paint. Legacy projects can
be customized to support and enhance curriculum —including books/literature, the Arts,
the study of artists, as wells as educational, or geographical themes. For ceramic
projects, “SOLE mates” are an ever popular option for students to leave their “mark’ on
the work. Also popular are Individual take-home projects—including functional,
wearable, or decorative ceramic art; and Paint Day canvas works
Respect, cooperation and giving back to the school/community are integral parts of these workshops.
