Program Description
"EVERGREEN" SEMPREVERDE is a dedicated endeavor that tackles two pressing global concerns: the environment and recycling. This production can be aptly characterized as a blend of scientific exploration and environmental awareness. Within the framework of the show, students are immersed in songs delivered in English, Italian, French, and Spanish, all thoughtfully composed to enhance language acquisition and cultivate an appreciation for diverse cultures and peace in the world. This aspect makes it an invaluable resource for educators, enabling them to seamlessly integrate this edu-musical into their curriculum. This theatrical field trip offers a highly recommended experience suitable for all departments, especially the world language departments, science departments, and music and performing arts departments. This program includes the study guide,suitable for all age groups (K-12), designed to introduce students to multiple languages and culture through the beauty of music and theater. Featuring professional actors, dancers, and captivating projections, the show celebrates the allure of Italy, embracing its culture and traditions while addressing a global theme, such as environmental protection, recycling, and reuse. It also fosters an appreciation for diverse cultures and raises awareness about safeguarding our planet. Pricing is per school building, not per district. Performance dates: March 21 & 22, 2024 @ The Queens Theatre in Flushing Meadow Park Times: 9:45 or 11:40 April 2 & 3, 2024 @ Bayway Theatre East Islip Times: 9:45 or 11:40 April 4, 2024 @ Suffolk Theatre, 118 E Main St., Riverhead Times: 10am & 11:45 am The program includes: admission up to 100 students to attend the theatre performance, a study guide and two in-school post event guest speaker sessions.(*For groups with fewer than 50 students attending the theater performance, additional in-school/in-classroom workshops will be included.) *CONTACT INCANTO TO RESERVE SEATING Discounts are available on the following in school programs for schools that attend Evergreen: Dances of Italy "Ballu Tunda", the Italian Carnival "Il Carnevale Italiano", the Sicilian Marionettes "I pupi Sicilaini" or the Tarantella.
